The Polish government collects tolls with an electronic box called the ViaBox, which is attached to a window inside the truck. ViaBox users are guided through special toll portals that considerably reduce waiting times to pass. ViaBox is used in conjunction with the Multi Service Tolls card.
While ViaBox is the on board unit (OBU) accepted throughout Poland, the Polish road network is managed by multiple authorities, and some do not accept ViaBox. For those very few, drivers are required to pay with a credit card or even cash. The Multi Service Tolls card can be used to pay for these locations. For more information please contact our account managers.
Invoicing takes place after passage, and the invoice is determined based on the vehicle category, axles, euro standard and the rate per kilometer.
The holder of the vehicle can choose between (automatic) toll payment via a pre-pay or post-pay system. Those who post-pay also use the Multi Service Tolls card, but require a contract. This option is particularly suitable for frequent drivers. Using this method makes it possible to give insight in all data transactions in MyMST
